New ELEXIS Deliverables out now:
Cross-lingual Lexical Resource Linking Web Service (software) (D2.4),
Multilingual Word Sense Disambiguation and Entity Linking – Final Report (D3.5),
Sample Dictionary Drafts (D4.5),
Semantically Annotated Corpora (D4.6), and
Overview of Online Tutorials and Instruction Manuals (D5.3).
The Deliverable D2.4, Cross-lingual Lexical Resource Linking Web Service, introduces a new ELEXIS tool: The BabelNet-Linker. The main objective of this deliverable is the creation of a linking web service which produces a mapping between two dictionary definitions in a cross-lingual scenario. This linking process will make it possible to map the ELEXIS dictionaries at definition level by pivoting through BabelNet.
The Deliverable 3.5, Multilingual Word Sense Disambiguation and Entity Linking Algorithms – Final Report, presents algorithms to narrow down the gap between English and other languages when it comes to data needed to train and evaluate supervised systems for Word Sense Disambiguations (WSD) and Entity Linking (EL). The developed algorithms tackle impactful issues undermining the replication of WSD in terms of enabling training and evaluation of monolingual and multilingual systems.
The Deliverable 4.5 comprises Sample Dictionary Drafts in 24 languages. The authors used NVH (Name-Value Hierarchy) as the data format for all languages. Additionally, the deliverable provides an overview of the entry composition. The drafts are available via the ELEXIS cloud and Lexonomy.
The Deliverable 5.3 provides an Overview of Online Tutorials and Instruction Manuals:
The ELEXIS Curriculum is an integrated set of training materials which contextualizes ELEXIS tools & services inside a broader, systematic pedagogic narrative. This means that the goal of the ELEXIS Curriculum is not simply to inform users about the functionalities of particular tools and services developed within the project, but to show how such tools and services are:
a) embedded in both lexicographic theory and practice; and
b) representative of and contributing to the development of digital skills among lexicographers.
The goal of this deliverable is to provide a clear, structured overview of the tutorials and instruction manuals developed within the project.
